Studies in the Social History of Medicine
Studies in the Social History of Medicine is a well-established series that was launched by the Society for the Social History of Medicine in 1987. Published by Routledge, its mission is to provide an outlet for high-quality research that embodies the Society’s commitment to the inter-disciplinary study of health, disease, and medical care in the past. Until recently, the series concentrated on collections of
essays. Organized around selected themes, these volumes often but not always
arose from SSHM conferences and were subsequently developed by their editors.
The series will continue to include works of this nature. Please see Routledge's Guidelines for Authors (download Acrobat Reader).
